The Fig Arbor, 9 x 12", for sale, $250, by moi
Dear Figgy Friends,
August brings to mind fig season, as I am an avid fig grower. Oddly enough, I dislike eating them. I just like growing them!
This is a quest of man vs. beast, as I try to bring my thousands of figs to ripe perfection before the birds can nibble a chunk out of each one.
Frustrating? Yes! Who usually wins? Me 70% of the time. What does it take to outsmart birds, who might have IQ's of negative twenty? Persistence and vigilance. Picture this: Me checking my trees three times a day during fig season.
Game on, my fine-feathered friends!!!
The Farmer Who Won't Quit, with an IQ possibly higher than negative twenty
