Foodies! Tackle Greenwich Village in NYC

Dear Imaginary Foodie,

Where should I eat in the village, both west and east, in New York City?

Hungry and Dazed

Dear Hungry with the bad hair,

If you like Italian, and who doesn't, try Frankie's Spuntino 570 on Hudson Street, and dell'anima.
For desserts and snacks go to Cafe Reggio right off Washington Square Park. For organic, vegan or vegetarian, try Organic Grill. It is on First Ave by 7th street in the East Village.
Bon Appetit!

Need a hair re-do? Try Arrojo on Varick Street and ask for Jennifer C.

And you're welcome!

Gumbo with Potato Salad on Top! Only in New Orleans

Dear Imaginary Friends,
Miz Susan at Cafe B
Have you ever heard of gumbo with potato salad on top? Yup, it is for real. The new restaurant owned by the New Orleans based Brennan family is Cafe B, on Metairie Road, in Old Metairie, and instead of serving gumbo atop rice, they serve a floating island of green onion potato salad instead on their gumbo. Fattening? Maybe a tad!

At any rate, it is good. But not as good as their Barbecue Shrimp. You know how New Orleans rolls: Nothing succeeds like excess!

Patsie

Barbie and Ken Go to Sonoma: Hollah!

Dear Imaginary Friends,

When Carlo and I were in San Francisco this past November, we drove to Sonoma to dine at "The Girl and the Fig" as well as to suss out some California vineyards.

While at The Girl and the Fig, we saw the best bathroom signs ever:

Ken Looks a Tad Drunk
Barbie, saying, right this way, ladies!
The aforementioned bar looks like this:

It's good to know that Barbie and Ken have good taste! They only congregate at the best bars.

Your Imaginary Friend,
Patsie
