What I Painted This Week

Study in Blue and Orange, Oil
Dear Invisible Friends,

Hi, there! This is my newest, hot off the easel creation. Painted this past Wednesday afternoon, it sprung to life quickly. It resembles a watercolor, as it has a certain transparent quality not usually found in oil paintings.
This painting is so new that one could say it is wet behind the ears.

Visit my still lives locally at River Farm on East Blvd., The Art League, and A Show of Hands .

Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Hospital

Dear Imaginary Friends,

I am pleased to announce that I will be showing twelve oil paintings at the Lombardi Cancer Center in Georgetown in March 2012.

So if you don't catch my current shows at A Show of Hands, or Beall and Brumbaugh, or The Art League, or Green Springs Park, January-February 2012, or River Farms September 2012-January 2013, then you have still another venue to check them out.

Thanks for caring.

Mr. Genuario

Dear Imaginary Readers,

Mr. Genuario's friend commissioned me to draw him in front of his office, which as you can see, I did. He is a well-known local builder. I can relate to builders, because they leave behind a real legacy of objects, much like artists leave behind their art. Builders make their mark upon the cityscape, and we artists make our mark in homes, galleries and museums for posterity to either enjoy or not.
Here's to Mr. G and his artistic homes!
