The Yellow Tulips

Dear Imaginary Art Lovers,

Here is one of my creations from this very productive Spring: The Yellow Tulips. It is a horticultural cornucopia of a yellow iris, purple allium, magenta iris, bleeding hearts, pink tulip, and yellow tulips. I could have included all those species in the title, but it would have been pretty unwieldy.

This painting could also have been titled Spring. The glory of flowers is why I love gardening and why Spring is my favorite season. In this painting, I am expressing my love of flowers and art in one fell swoop.

I am excited about my upcoming Fall show that will be all horticulture. River Farms, here I come with fifty canvases of flowers, fruit, landscapes and waterscapes.

My Front Yard this Spring

This Spring put on quite a show of flowers. The patience of gardeners all over America was rewarded tenfold.

What would you like as your Valentine's Day Gift? I will hereby attempt to purchase it for you. You did say the best things are free, right??

And since fair is fair, I will share what what I really want: Spring time!

Cruddy weather, go away. Go to Siberia, and lurk there for eternity. Just get the heck outta my zone. I will gladly pay good money to not live in the tundra any more. Dirty snow, making curbs impossible to cross, slippery driving. Yech.

I love the flowers, the air, the smiles on faces, the neighbors popping out of their homes like Prairie dogs. I love the tender green leaves, on trees so hopeful.
