Grandparents to the Stars
Parker Looks Serious in His Business Suit |
Dear Imaginary Friends,
This year, all the influential babies are wearing a business suit while out and about. Casual Friday babies just cannot cut it in this competitive world.
Do you want your baby to be a loser? OF course, not! So get with the program.
Pampers is also now keeping up with the preschool crowd with a pinstripe diaper. If you want that baby to grow up to be a doctor, lawyer or engineer, instead of a dishwasher or mechanic, get with it, people.
God knows, he could end up as a starving artist, if you put him in sweatpants.
I'm just saying, a word to the wise.

"Summer Love, Happens So Fa-ast"
From Grace, to Grease! |
Dear Imaginary Friend,
One more time, let us review the budding romance of Parker and Grace, his friend from Lewes, Delaware, who is pictured here offering Parker a shell from the beach. It reminds me of the song from the movie "Grease", starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. In one of the opening scenes, the love struck couple, who have met during the summer, sing the duet "Summer Love". And that is the soundtrack in my head, as I gaze upon this cute twosome.
"Those sum-umme-mer ni-ights! So, Grace, isn't he a little young for you? Don't wear high heels on your date, is all I am saying.
Your Imaginary Friend,
Patsie

Grace Makes Parker an Offer
Virginia, Parker and a new friend, Grace |
At Cape Shores, a fellow visitor offers Parker a shell she has gathered from the beach. She is a two year old named Grace. She has learned the important virtue of sharing. She hands Parker the sea shell and then he takes it, considers it, and offers her one in exchange.
Sweet! Young love.
Sharing is good.

What Are Babies Really Thinking?
Dear Imaginary Baby Friends,
What are you babies really thinking, as you shove your teeny fists into your tiny mouths and stare up at us big people? Are you thinking, "Now there's an adult making a silly face and goofy sounds!"
People who ordinarily are very serious, let their "Goofy flags" fly when they are around babies, making baby talk, etc. Anything to elicit that sweet baby smile, or better yet, giggle.
Babies are not large, but I think they are the ones in charge!
