When Babies Attack, Part Four

Dear Imaginary Friends,

This 26 lb. baby boy looks harmless, but he actually is a powerful force of destruction. Here he seeks and destroys my silk orchid.
In his hand is a cute Mr. Bingle doll from the nineteen-eighties, bought at Maison Blanche in New Orleans. Does Mr. Bingle have a chance of survival, now that Parker is in control? Magic Eight Ball says, "Outlook is doubtful!"

Having Another Moment

Parker and Me, Having a Moment
Dear Imaginary Friends,

Here we are celebrating Carlo and Danny's birthdays this past Saturday. Parker and I take a moment to cuddle up with each other.
He likes jewelry, especially breaking it! There has never been a necklace or earring he could resist, preferably on someone else, of course.
He is cute stuff. And he is more to me than you can imagine.

This Milk Is Making Me Sleepy

Dear Imaginary Friends,
Parker finds milk to be a narcotic. It makes him go to sleep. Is it because it contains tryptophan?
His eyes are at half mast.
Just.
About.
To close.
Sweet dreams!

How I Spent Last Monday: Grace Gathering Shells

Grace Gathering Shells, 10 x 8", Oil
Dear Imaginary Readers,

Here is a painting that I have been working on for the last 2 weeks, of Grace, the little girl who offered Parker a shell from Lewes Beach.
I love that bathing suit!

More Cute Stuffings, Part 5

me rocking the grandbaby
Dear Imaginary Friend,

What is more "granny" than sitting in a rocker? Well, maybe rocking away, having a big glass of lemonade on the front porch, and yelling at the neighbor kids, "Get off my lawn!!!"
I am getting older, but am not quite there yet. Yet is the operative word.
Luckily for me, I am not the one wearing a diaper in this picture!! He he.
Parker has almost outgrown sitting in the rocker, slurping down his bottle. He is so easily distracted by everything going on. He squirms like a little monkey and likes to climb all over the place. He even attempted climbing out of his stroller last week. Escapee on aisle five!
I am relishing this time.
Soon, I will once again be a granny, off her rocker.

How Cute is this Stuff?

Parker and Cookie
Dear Imaginary Friends,

Look who is walking!! No, it's not me, silly, it's the baby. What a precocious tot, standing at 9 months. I do declare. Must be from my side of the family.
Just kidding.
But he sure is cute stuffings, anyway.
Must be from my side of the family.
Just kidding, again!

Cute Stuffings, Part 4

Here is our happy little visitor, whom we babysat for 5 days. He is playing on a blue and white blankie that was hand made for his mama 30 years ago. Tradition!

Daddy and Son

Daddy Danny and son Parker
Dear Imaginary Friend,

Yes, they have the same shape eyes! How they differ: Danny does not suck his thumb. Danny is much taller and makes sense when he talks, as opposed to a vocabulary of two words: dada and mama.

This little baby boy has cute his first tooth and started crawling, all this week. So fun to watch him grow! Before you know it, he will be writing his dissertation in Solutions for Global Warming. Has something to do with making everyone wear an ice-packed bib, I think...
